My StoryMy name is Jay-Antony Hastings. I was born in Kings College Hospital (London, United Kingdom) back on 15/06/1981.

I came into this world second after my sister Nadine who is 2 years older than me.I spent the first 8 years of my life living in a place called Streatham (south London) before my parents moved to the suburbs. For the next 10 years we lived in place called Bromley where I went to school, college etc etc.

I wasn’t the most dedicated pupil back in my school education days, instead I felt great pleasure in being apart of the cool crew lol (the cool guys surely cannot let a small thing like education get in the way of our coolness lol). I decided I wanted to earn money so I graduated and started working as quickly as I could.

Even at this stage I had big ambitions to be successful although had no idea how it would come.

I began working in a few different places i.e. Domino’s pizza, Excel windows, a paper factory etc just to start earning. My big break came when I was 17, I was selected from many to be a office junior/trainee surveyor, Great!!! I started working and really enjoyed it. Just like most jobs unfortunately the novalty soon wore off and I would find myself taking extended breaks in the toilet just to try and get a little more me time lol! It was during this quality time that I actually started realising more and more what the world was really like and how my place fitted into society.

1 year later and romance struck, I was in my first proper relationship and work just seemed sooooo unimportant. I gave up the day job and spent every waking moment with my beautiful future wife.

2 years later and the romance was well and truely over!!!! “what am i gonna do now?? no job, no girl, no money, no nothing!!!”. Luckily my old school pal had a very interesting job traveling all over the world with a broadband installation firm. he said he could get me a job so soon after I was now a junior broadband specialist traveling all over the world installing global communication networks “whooooooooo hoooooooo” .

Six months later and guess what!! the novalty had worn off and I was back taking extended breaks in the toilet!!

Shortly after I was made redundant!! “oh no, what now”??

I wasn’t sure what to do from this point, i was 20 years old, living with the same friend who got me the job. I really did not want to go back to my parents, they had tried to talk me out of living with my ex, at the time I had said they did not know what they were talking about and I didn’t need them (lol lol how stupid was I). We lived in a house which needed complete refurbishment. It was a complete mess, the best way of describing it would be a squat!! We had no hot water and the electrics did not work in most rooms.

2/3/4 months went by, once again I had no money, no job, no nothing. “Is this it I thought?” all of a sudden a strong drive and determination came into my mind!!  I thought now is the time to sort myself out and achieve my ambitions that were burning away within me.  The following day I put on the one old suit I had and walked the streets of London looking for a job. Within 3 days I found a temping job, 2 weeks later I found a better paid temp job. 3 weeks on and I had a Customer Service role working within one of the UK’s top banking and insurance companies…GREAT!!!

The initial plan was to work my way up and up through the corporate structure until I reached Executive Director status.

It was January 2001 and I started as a Customer Service Advisor. I was very focused and ready to give it my all, it wasn’t long until I was promoted to project leader and then on to Team Manager within a very short space of time.

This is simple I thought!! I’ll be a Director earning ‘BIG BUCKS in no time!!
I worked and worked and worked, I saw what I wanted to achieve and was prepared to do what I could to make it happen. 5 years on and I was still a Team Manager. Opportunities for Promotion were very far and few between.

I had my end of year review, my manager sat me down and said “Jay you have had a great year!! you have truely been fantastic and have come along way!! you have worked very hard!! however you could have managed customer complaints better, you could have managed recruitment for your team better, you could have promoted your projects better, you could manage your teams workflow better…………………………………………….”

I’m thinking, I thought you said I had a great year!!!

All of a sudden I had a vision of being a very old man with a long grey beard sitting in the same room, listening to the same feedback, hoping to get that same silly little payrise that I received year on year!

Is this it???? Is this my life???? I wonder!!!!!

November 2006  was the date that I made the conscious decision to change my life!!My Story

I took on a new mission!! I haven’t got time to waste away being stuck in an office with a JOB (Just Over Broke). I want to see the world, I want to experience new things, I want to have choice, I don’t want somebody telling me I am only worth £25k pa and nothing more, I WANT TO LIVE MY LIFE!!

The decision was made, I’m getting out of here, I am worth so much more!!
I looked at various different investment opportunities. I had limited funds but was able raise the cash to start investing in property. The world economy was BOOMING. I brought my first flat, then another and then another. I had hardly any cash but what I have learned through having a WHAT EVER IT TAKES(W.I.T) attitude is you don’t need money all you need is determination and a hunger to succeed. I was happy to be on the ladder to success. The housing market was going up and up….GREAT! All of a sudden recession hit the world, property was hit hard “oh no, I’m back to square one”

I will NOT give up!! I was introduced to stocks and shares trading, I raised the money for a award winning seminar and went for it. I completed the course, I was ready to take action. Everyday I was researching the markets to give me the best opportunity to win the trade.

My first week I made £100 whoooo hoooo!!
Second week I made a loss of £50, Third week I lost £30, Fourth week I lost £50…………………………………..!!
What is going on????????? £1000 down and I thought “s#@^” I cant afford to loose any more.

Next I then looked into network marketing, I held seminars, training days, home presentations, handed out leaflets, stood in shopping malls etc. Everyone loved the products, services and business model! Guess what, Nobody wanted to commit and sign up!! Once again I’m out of pocket.

I thought of quitting but then remembered people like us DO NOT QUIT!!
We will do WHATEVER IT TAKES (W.I.T) to be successful.

I looked into internet marketing and ways I could network my business through the internet saving time and cost. A lot of people claimed to make lots of CASH.

Could this possibly work? Am I wasting more time I asked?
W.I.T I took action! Now this is where the tide started turning, within my first 3 weeks I made more money than I ever did previously since starting this whole mission to success. FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY ITS WORKING whoooooo hoooooo shortly after the day job of working in a bank was well and truly over and I was creating more income, more freedom than ever before, sometimes I still have to pinch myself to make sure this is actually me.

Sharing knowledge, coaching and being a effective mentor (which I love) has allowed me to not only get on the route towards having a millionaire status but also help them create their desired financial success in the process. I have had my fair share of ups and downs and can use my experience to keep team mates on the right track.

One massive learning point I learnt, if you fail first time round, try try try again! Never give up, financial freedom is well worth the struggle.

Thank you very much for reading my story
